Great location.

Disinterested staff. Our room was not ready despite being late for check-in. They had to reconfigure the room to what we had requested and put a bedside table and lamp in the closet(!) and the headboards against the TV screen. Eh? We rearranged the furniture. Tiled floor was soapy and slippery and we did not get towels on arrival. We had to interact with the reception people a lot more than we wanted to just to have average amenities and experience. We'll stay elsewhere next time at this price point.

We ended up paying an additional R1000 to upgrade to a better room. The garden unit was a tiny room at the entrance at the bottom of the stairs. The staff were amazing. There was a function on in the restaurant but they set up dinner on our upgraded balcony - very special

Stunning venue and excellent staff and service

Bit tired. Underwhelming.

The lodge is hosting outside people to have parties, birthdays and baby showers. The people were drunk and making noise until midnight. This is compromising security too

Exceptional location and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. I had an excellent stay at Canelands and will certainly be back!
