Hedong Citycenter Hotel

The last time I stayed here, the room had a bathtub (I was on the second floor). This time, I double-checked to make sure my room would have a bathtub and it said all rooms have bathtubs. THIS IS NOT TRUE! My room did not have a bathtub, only a shower. I was very upset by this but could not communicate with the staff because they speak Cantonese. This was the second time I stayed here, but I probably will not stay here again if there is chance my room won't have a bathtub.

Give the great price and great location of this hotel something had to give. The biggest problem is the mattress. Ok calling it a mattress is a stretch, picture instead a box-spring with a mattress cover on it. Foam? What foam! You're essentially sleeping directly on some very spaced out metal wires, not even the pocket-coil kind. Picture laying down on a metal farm fence. Now these kind of beds are common in China, this one was especially horible. Then there's the bathroom. The room seemed to have been renovated, or at least maintained very well. The bathroom was really quite horrible for a 3* property. Also not to be unexpected, the English level of the staff was virtually non-existant. The WiFi login page was also entirely in Chinese (i.e. un-usable from a non-Chinese phone or PC). Thankfully there is wired Internet in the rooms also. The staff didn't seem to know about it, just look around for the good old fashioned RJ45 wall plate and you're all set, no login required.

Outstanding location, center of Louhu District, close to metro and shopping malls. Bathroom had some walls with peeling off paint, needed caulking...

Good price good location.

Book thru internet will be cheaper. When I wanted to extend my stay no internet rate was given, very stingy.

This hotel is a good value for a safe and clean rooom. The bed was hard but this is China and it is a cheap hotel. The room overall was nice. The location of the hotel is also good. It is near the metro and a big mall and many restaurant and shopping options. I would stay here again.

Excellent location, very new inside (just renovated), but old outside. Very good price!

Stayed for 4 days. Terrible time looking for the hostel/hotel once arrived, not even the taxi people knows where it is eventhough it was 5-10 mins drive from Shenzhen MRT. Doesn't really have a guest room to go online, relax or meet people. Room doesn't have outlet adaptor for U.S. plug, so I asked the staff where I could plug my laptop, one male staff told me to use the one on the lobby stairs, can't believe! I had to sit on the lobby stairs to go online while people walk up and down, that was horrible and embarrassing!

the hotel has a very very old furniture in the rooms and hot waters in bathroom is not at all hot all the time. there is no concierge services offered by the hotel. but it is value for money what you are paying for. For comfort of the room I am dissatisfied. no proper lighting and no complimentary bottle of water.

Finding the hotel was a little tricky but once we found it, it was ok. Surrounding area a little run down but inside was alright.
