Tradewinds Motel

I had originally booked a room without a beach view but when we got to the motel I wished had, so I asked the owner if there was any way I could change rooms. He was so friendly and accommodating and took us to both the room I reserved and the one he had available facing the beach so we could compare. After seeing the view we of course witched rooms! It only ended up being 130 more for both nights and was so worth it! Especially because most of our visit to the coast was foggy and our second night at Tradewinds was so clear and beautiful we were able to watch the sunset from our bed. The room was perfect and had a little back yard with picnic tables which led out to the beach. Our first night we went to a Mexican food truck (amazing!) and said hi to the owner sitting at his desk and told him we went to one of his suggestions, he asked us if we needed silverware (we did) and he ran back and got some for us. The flowers on the property are beautiful as well. Everything about this place was comfortable and inviting!

The location is amazing, right on the beach. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and lots of space, we came on a slower weekend so were able to get the upper floor room we prefer. Nicely kept overall.

Some of the power outlets could use replacing. They are loose and the plugs would fall out. We forgot to mention while there.

The water fountain is a very nice touch, the person who checked me in is very welcoming and very helpful

We arrived, only to find they were not pet friendly. Did not see anything on their web site stating such. We had to scramble for one night in one location, then change locations the next day for a wedding event this weekend. Should have booked Surf side hotel to begin with. Live and learn, always ask. Very stressful arriving in town, only to find we had no place to stay. As a foot note Surf Side was so beautiful and comfortable, fireplace in the room, well worth the fee cor the room, AND THEY ARE PET FRIENDLY.

Safe and quiet, kind management, clean

No dogs:( humans ruined it for responsible dog owners…. Also more pillows on the bed would be great!

We liked the location, close to shops, restaurants and the Historic Railroad Train Ride. The view of the ocean was great and the back yard had picnic tables to eat or play board games at. About 10 steps down to the sand. The fireplace was out of order but comfy beds and a nice extra large TV. An older building but nicely remodeled. Beautiful exterior plants. A complimentary breakfast might be nice. Easy Parking.

Great place to stay along the Oregon coast if you want an expansive beautiful beach right out your door. Close to a lot of restaurants and cool places to see.

Location is perfect!

Very clean, comfortable and convenient motel right on the beach. Friendly and helpful owner. This was perfect for our couple nights on the coast. Steps off the balcony to the beach and close to restaurants and other beach towns.
