Super tolles Hotel, etwas in die Jahre gekommen, sber mit tollem Personal, toller Pool, Bowling Bahn etc.

Für Strandurlaub nicht geeignet. Wir haben explizit etwas ausserhalb vom Tourismus gesucht. Das Hotel war toll, aber der Strand dreckig mit Glasscherben und im Wasser auch Müll. Als Hotel hätte man sicherlich einen Strandabschnitt für die Gäste herrichten können, dann würde das Geschäft sicher besser laufen

We booked a suite at the kantary bay hotel for 6 nights. How tall is very large with a main building and an east wing, two swimming pools,a gym,, a coffee shop, a restaurant, a corner cocktail bar and several meeting rooms. The exterior of the hotel was lovely and right across the road from the beach. The beach was not really swimmable as it was quite dirty with lots of plastic bags and rubbish floating in it. And it was quite rough being that it is on the gulf of Thailand. The room. Suite was very spacious. Well appointed had a balcony and view of the water not directly facing water but aside view the bed was hard and I ended up with a sore hip. It had a full size fridge and freezer cooktop kettle, cooking utensils, plates cups and pots and pans.The bathroom is spacious with hot water and complimentary toiletries. There was a shower and bath, toilet and basin. Our suite was on the 8th floor overlooking the 2nd pool. A comfortable room except at night wind motorbikes constantly went up and down the road in front of the hotel up until about 230 in the morning very very loud so loud it was difficult to sleep. The breakfast. Breakfast was sufficient all regular stuff, bacon eggs, toast, juice, cereal, sausages variety of Thai foods and salad items tea coffee Japanese foods porridge etc. I must say the coffee was disgusting and in the cafe in the hotel grounds we expected a bit of coffee but it was the same coffee that was served at breakfast, not nice at all. The pool pools were very nice. Clean and refreshing but access for anyone with mobility issues as I have it was very difficult to get into the pool areas and in and out of the pools as both pools had stairs leading to them no ramps and the pools itself had only one set of metal stairs to get in and out of the pool which you found very hard knees. The gym was well equipped but the sauna and steam room seemed to be either out of order or just not functional. Also, the hot tub was not working the whole time we were there. So over all it was okay for the price. A lot of Thai guests were staying there non Thai guests were few and far between. Would not go there again, and there is also not a lot around there to do. You have to go and get a taxi if you want to go anywhere I guess if you’re just like lying around the pool, it would be fine.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very good. Breakfast was fairly good for a hotel buffet style several choices but it got a bit boring after six days. The two swimming pools were good and the gym is very well equipped. The foreshore appears to be very nice but it is infested with rats. There are some nice food vendors selling food from the carts which is much better than the pop-up restaurants with chairs offerings of food. I have included pictures of the beach at the front. There are 711s nearby which are very convenient.

They had two saunas and a steam room, and over the six days that I was there, I never saw them on once. There were no people in attendance, no instructions on how to start them, so basically, they were just ornaments . The scales to weigh yourself had flat batteries, so it was also useless. The television in the room was very poor, and the connection on the aerial was very bad. They had a little stereo in the room, which couldn’t have been more than a dust collector as all the connections to it had been pulled out of the back, making it unusable. The bed, although very large, was uncomfortable, and sleeping at night was almost impossible with the constant motorbike noise starting at 7 pm and going right through to 3:30 am. I did not get one good night’s sleep. It appears that the local village idiots like to race up and down the street on the motorbikes after work. I was so glad when I checked out; I could not take the lack of sleep any more. The coffee at the hotel is particularly bad; the little café at the front uses the same beans as those used in the buffet breakfast and the drip coffee, and it is a really bad taste. I would’ve said I’d love to have sat out and had coffee every night, but after the first coffee, never again. I stayed in room 824 in the east wing
