Please be informed that Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP) has announced a scheduled water supply disruption in Penang from 25th to 28th April 2025. The hotel will remain fully operational during this period. We have taken proactive measures to ensure minimal disruption and maintain all our guests' comfort and convenience. From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Effective 1 June 2014, the Penang State Government will be imposing a local government fee of MYR 2 per room per night, payable directly to the hotel upon check-in.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. We stayed for 2 nights in the Chulia suite. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accomodating. The location couldn't have been better - everything was so close to hand! The character and style of the hotel is gorgeous - we loved that it was small and immaculately kept. We ate at the restaurant (at very short notice) and the food was fantastic and very well priced.

Bed was very firm. It did get noisy at times due to being a main road and with the muslim temple's call to prayer, but we were aware of this before we booked so nothing to complain about.

"Schönes Heritage Hotel - leider kleine Zimmer"

Tolle, zentrale Lage, sehr schön eingerichtetes Heritage- Hotel mit schöner Atmosphäre. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit; v.a. die junge Inderin an der Rezeption ist uns positiv aufgefallen. Das Frühstück hat uns gut geschmeckt und die Nionya Süssigkeiten waren sehr lecker.

Unser Zimmer war viel zu klein und zugestellt mit sperrigen unnötigen Sesseln. Wir konnten nur mit Mühe unser Gepäck darin unterbringen. Der Preis ist für die Grösse des Zimmers einiges zu hoch. Am Pool gibt es zu wenig Liegen und Sonnenschirme.

"Beautiful, quality, historical stay in de middle of town."

Definitely one of the best hotels i stated in, in Malaysia. Right in the centre of town, but with the most serene, quiet atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and hospitality was great.
