A small resort on a nice lake

We stayed at the Windemere House while on a vacation to visit family. Lots to do for young and old or simply relax on an adirondack chair on the front lawn and enjoy the view of the beautiful lake. The hotel has canoe or kayak for you to enjoy exploring the lake. Small beach area and lake swim area with picnic tables for a great picnic. Pool, hot tub and sauna were great fun. Pickleball and lots of other activities available for all ages. We all, including our nephews had a great time. Buffet breakfast that we enjoyed on their large covered veranda was an excellent way to start our day. Such a beatiful resort in the Muskoka area.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Windermere House. We began our visit with drinks on the patio, taking in the breathtaking view of Lake Rosseau. Afterwards, we wandered down to the dock, letting our feet dangle in the cool water. To pass the time, we played a few rounds of cornhole—just one of the many games the resort has readily available—before enjoying a delicious dinner on the veranda. The evening ended perfectly with a session in the barrel saunas, followed by a magical swim under the stars in the heated outdoor pool. The next morning, we treated ourselves to a fantastic buffet breakfast, complete with a wide assortment of fresh fruit, pastries, and the classic bacon, eggs, and sausage. Energized, we took the Windermere House kayaks out for a peaceful paddle around Wellesley and Florence Islands. We wrapped up our stay with a pint on the patio of the Windermere Pub. We’ll definitely be returning in the fall to take in the spectacular seasonal colours.

Very good restaurants, service and very clean rooms. A lot of entertainments -boats, paddle board, tennis, pickle bolls, swimming pool and more.
