Very good breakfast, veggie options available. Good size rooms, good showers. Lovely spacious feel to reception and lounge areas.

Awkward location for navigation from town centre. Front rooms affected by traffic noise. Bath towels are very small.

Lovely hotel staff and food excellent

The reception hall was nicely decorated and modern. The restaurant served great food for a reasonable price and the pints were good. The hotel room was cleaned every day that we stayed there (total of three days). Towels were fully stocked each day. The swimming pool staff offered free towels while at the pool. The beds were comfy.

The rooms were old fashioned. There was no air conditioning which meant, because of the hot weather, the rooms made it unbearable to sleep in. We had to keep the widows open at night which made it a safety concern because, being on the first floor, there was a dip outside which made any room accessible to climb in if you wanted to. I brought up this concern to the manager. I asked him for a portable air conditioner which the hotel did not have. His response was that no hotels in Ireland have air conditioning. I replied that many hotels offer their staff portable air conditioners to which he seemed to pay no notice. Every single one of their high chairs were filthy and the staff didn’t blink twice when handing it to us. They were full of old food that looked like it had been on it for months. The bottom of the high chairs were full of dirt and old mostly crumbs. The staff made you feel like they were doing you a favour every time you asked them for something. I rarely received a “your welcome” or “ thank you”, let alone a warm smile. The only ones who remotely friendly were the cleaning the staff. They always said hello and smiled to us. The reception staff women made you feel like a burden than a paying customer. When we checked out, there was no good bye nor did they ask us if we enjoyed our stay. The third night we stayed there, the fire alarm went off at 230 am. It scared the living daylight out of my two children. After about 5 minutes it stopped and I thought that was the last of it. Well, ten minutes later it went off again. After this I called reception, hoping to get an update as to what was happening. When reception picked up the phone, I asked if everything was ok to which the man on the other end replied, “false alarm”. And then he hung up on me. I called back again wondering what kind of response was that. Another man answered who at least had the courtesy to say hello and mention his name.

food at breakfast was exceptional The bedroom was very comfortable and bathroom was spacious We ate at McGettigans and the food was delicious and reasonably priced Leisure centre was perfect. Gym well equipped and pool clean

Wasn't keen on the Espresso Martini's unfortunately - very bitter Breakfast room was far too warm! Needed airconditioning
