Econo Lodge Galveston Seawall

Amber was a great hostess. She made sure we had all the amenities requested. The little breakfast sweets were ok and the coffee was excellent!

location is great. right across street from the beach. The room was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable enough.

there were very obvious poorly repaired holes in the walls in multiple spots, The bathrooms were pretty bad. the toilet was loose at the floor however not leaking. the wall had a really ugly patched area next to the tub

It was clean, quiet, the beach was across the street. Great location.

I stayed in 3 hotel/motels on my recent business trip. Galveston was (sort of) on the way. Of all of them, the staff here was the most helpful and cheerful... and I expected worse. I have absolutely no problems checking in and out. Too bad there isn't a pool, but the beach is across the street. Lots of places to eat in walking distance.

I could barely get i the room, because the door stuck. I had to really lean into it.

Room was clean. Bed was awesome for a hotel mattress. Location is perfect. Even being right on Seawall Blvd, we couldn't hear a lot of road noise. AC was awesome and coooooold. Staff was friendly and helpful. Amber was in the office for check in when we arrived. She most definitely set the vibe for our trip. She was really personable and extremely helpful. She had no issue answering our touristy questions. Will definitely stay there the next time we go down to Galveston!

Location was great for beach access and the parade went right by the hotel.

The internet was horrible as well as cell service. The room wasn’t filthy but wasn’t exactly clean.

It was horrible! I'm having to fight for my money back through my credit card company! There were ants, and roaches! The smoke detector and phone jack were ripped out of the wall in our room we had to leave late at night since we weren't in the room much during the day we didn't sleep there and we had to get a nicer hotel! Don't waste your time or money here! The refrigerator was leaking water, the microwave was broken. It was horrible...just horrible! The manager never called me back after spending days attempting to meet in person or just talk on the phone to get my money back! I should report them to health and human services but the only reason I don't is because of the friendly people that work there! Management sucks and this hotel sucks!

We got a great price and expectations were not high based on reviews. We ended up being happy with our deal. Pros: pretty clean, AWESOME location, comfy bed and clean towels, free parking. Cons: only 1 of the 2 rooms had an inside lock for security. The desk seemed surprised to hear this. TV did not work, didn't really need it but would have been a nice option. Our room did not get cleaned but I did go to the office to get clean towels. Doors were extremely difficult to open, when I mentioned this, they explained that they have tried new batteries, new locks, but the salt air is tough on the locks. Would I stay here again? Yes but only at a low price. Basically you get what you pay for.
