Hôtel Les Fuchsias

First room we were shown was not what I expected I payed extra to have only one flight of stairs and view of garden garden is lovely but furniture does need washing . Breakfast was poor we have stayed so many times over the years and used to have breakfast in the conservatory that was a joy .the dinning room is a sheer pleasure and the cheff brilliant can't fault it still high standard .look forward to next visit .but please sort out breakfast and awfull coffee .by the way atmosphere great .

Comfortable - as ever.

Les Fuchias is an older style hotel full of character and with a wonderful garden. Rooms are quite basic with sheets and blankets. Don't expect thick fluffy towels, white dressing gowns and slippers ! Well worth the extra cost to stay in a room overlooking the garden. A lovely relaxed place to visit.

Great family run hotel with excellent restaurant

This place was absolutely beautiful. It is a very old building that does not even have an elevator (lift). Brush up on your French as the staff speaks very little English. The restaurant is very expensive but again, traditional. Walking distance to downtown Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue

Comfortable and welcoming hotel conveniently situated in St Vaast La Hogue.

My fourth visit in 20 years. It does not disappoint. Rooms have been remodelled tastefull. Food as good as ever. First time without my late wife who had the language, so bit English on the part of the customer facing staff would be helpful. St Vaast is delightful as can be judged the growth of other tourist businesses.

Very Friendly welcome, all the staff are helpful and want to make your stay an enjoyable experience. The private gardens are extensive and make the walk to the breakfast rooms a pleasant start to the day. ( not sure if we would be so pleased if it had rained!!). The restaurant in the evening was very good, quality food and service. If you don't want to eat in, there are plenty of restaurants in the village , within 5-10 minutes walk. There is no off road parking and the hotel is situated on a one-way street. So you have to take pot luck as to where you can park your car.

Very good would go again ,easy and comfortable restaurant with nice food

I was very happy with my short stay in this hotel. The room I had was petite but it possessed all the basic facilities and was light and clean. Although not taking advantage of the restaurant on this occasion my partner had previously and rated it as exceptionally good. Points to be aware of, access to the bedrooms is by a narrow stairway only and the bed covering is traditional rather than duvet.
