"A great relaxing place"

The Quinta do Caracal is a very cool relaxing place. The amenities are great and it is easy to walk to the historic area of Travira. The morning breakfast is superb. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely. The only negative was the pillows which were very hard.

A pleasant stay overall. Felt that the owners could have been more customer oriented and attentive to their guests Felt very rushed at check in and was basically ignored at check out. Basic no-frills breakfast.

"Oasis of tranquility"

We booked the hotel as it seemed to provide a green and characterful oasis close to the town centre. The hotel is built on a former farm, and fresh fruit and eggs are provided from the farm daily for breakfast. Quirky delightful rooms, a garden setting with loads of grass and trees, yet a kilometre from the Roman bridge - perfect!

"Wonderful historic farm in city"

We had a lovely two night stay at this old family farm that is now in the centre of Tavira (beside the train station). It was great to wake up to the sounds of the different birds and enjoy the gardens and orange trees on the quinta. The breakfast was great too and the cottage was very comfortable.

"Unique hotel with charm"

Super hotel. Nice change from the big corporation hotels. Unique room with shower and kitchen nice bed good breakfast in nice surroundings. It was a good base to visit local beaches and to tour East Algarve.

"Peace of heaven"

Wonderful and relaxing place to stay. We wake up with sounds of birds singing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only problem was weak wifi which wasn't working in rooms.
