Hotel Mrak 4*

Excellent hotel in an excellent location. The staff are friendly, helpful, and have excellent communication skills in multiple languages including English. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is well appointed and large. Breakfast was good, many choices, and they cook to order as well. Hotel Mrak is one of the best hotel experiences I've had and certainly my best experience in Ljubljana. Highly recommended. I will stay there again.

Family run hotel, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated about 5-10 minutes' stroll from the city centre, so very convenient. Our room was very comfortable, and we felt we had made an excellent choice.

Breakfast food is fine. But room very crowded with tour groups at busy hour of 8am. Noisy and difficult to get a place to sit. Staff valiantly manged to keep everything moving and in stock. But room is inconveniently shaped for access to buffet and the number of people that need to be seated. An extra room out in halol- but not an ideal or relaxing set up. I lingerd to after the rush - and things much more convivial then.

Comfortable quiet room. Hotel within walking distance of lots of restaurants and places of interest in downtown Ljubljana. Slightly dated property but everything worked and was clean. A good value for the location.

Very nice hotel. Met the owner who was a very gracious host. Friendly efficient reception and restaurant staff. Clean & tidy room. Close to main centre of city. Would have no trouble in recommending this hotel.

We spent two nights in Hotel Mrak after a week in the Julian Alps - the room was clean, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was great, and it was really close to the river and city centre (without the price or crowds). The hotel was being refurbished, but not in a hammer, drill, and constant noise sense, but in terms of furnishings and fittings. Even then, although the refurbishment hadn't reached our floor yet, our room was simple and comfortable. Overall, we'd go back to the hotel, and look forward to having another beer on the river soon.

Hotel work continuing, no effect on guests. Bar and reception should be completed very soon.
