A bit dated decor, but the welcoming, friendly staff, breakfast and entertainment made up for this. The hotel seemed to be run by a family, the daughter of whom was a great asset to them. All the staff were very attentive. The breakfast staff continually checked is all was okay. The breakfast was plentiful. Best porridge I have ever had. The resident entertainment was very good. I could but fault this hotel and would stay there again.
The live Irish music was amazing, staff charming, and the town and food were impeccable. This is a must for anyone visiting Ireland!

Superb hospitality. John and Lynn were welcoming and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Great music in the evening and a grand breakfast made it a great stay. Highly recommended!.
Live traditional Irish music 1930-2330....no breaks! Great!
Walls are paper thin, room was musty, and the music downstairs sounded like it was in the room. Too expensive for what you get.
Everyone was so wonderful & helpful!! Family owned establishment and you could tell they took pride in there business!! Very Happy?!
We stayed two nights (July 5-7, 2018) as it was close to the Cliffs of Moher (15 minute drive) and was well priced. When we arrived we were greeted by an incredibly friendly girl who gave us LOTS of details about the area. She recommended we go to the Cliffs after 7pm and that was absolutely correct (the sun doesn’t set until 10pm during the summer). The room was a standard UK style room with a nice sized bathroom and small, standup shower. The hotel has a bar and restaurant and we didn’t try the restaurant but the bar had plenty of choices. (Sidenote: if you stay here I would highly recommend Roadside Tavern for great food and locally brewers beer). Each night the hotel has live music played from 8-12pm. This is fantastic to watch but is played below your room (at least ours) so don’t plan on going to bed early unless you’re a heavy sleeper (we had no issues because we enjoyed the music and during the summer it is still light out until nearly 11).
On the positive side, the hotel staff is very nice and the food is good. The rooms are very basic and somewhat small. They have live music in the restaurant every night until midnight. Since our rooms were over the restaurant that meant no sleep until midnight. You could hear the music as if you were in the restaurant. The rooms are not air-conditioned and there is poor air circulation. The hotel did not offer fans. Between the music and the heat, I did not get much sleep.
We were plesently surprised at how good this hotel was. The staff were amazingly friendly and so well trained, you could see the new staff being trained. We decided to have dinner there and it was very good and halfway through they opened out a partition and there was music on for 4 hours, 3 girls that were great and are on all summer I think. The breakfast was first class and cooked fresh with a wide choice and everything was nice and hot, again with friendly staff. The room had everything you need for a good night's sleep and although not the fanciest, you couldn't complain at the price point and for the overall excellence of the ethos of service. We'll definitely be back.
