Banyan Harbor Resort

I had the misfortune of encountering a roach in the kitchen. This, along with the overall state of the unit, did not inspire any good feelings. The reason for the moldy bathroom became readily apparent when I ran the dryer and found that it was venting straight back into the room rather than out of the building!? The hair dryer was also broken, and the windows did little to lessen the traffic noise at night. The staff were all very friendly and the location is probably about as good as you can get in this part of Kauai. Walkable to shops, restaurants, and the beach. Amazing views. Having the pool and grill was great too, as we were able to enjoy a nice cookout. The office also rents out shuffle boards and other games.

Location, comfort, amenities. We didn’t get to use the beach chairs, umbrellas and other equipment, because we were only there for one night. But for future, we will definitely consider staying again and stay for a few days!

Great location with a reasonable price. Fully equipped, good for a family vacation.

The wifi provided could not connect for the first two days, till neighbors' Wi-Fi was provided as a substitute. The resort does not have 24-hr service. That's the only catch, different from regular hotels. Otherwise, it is perfect.

Had a flight get cancelled at midnight - we were so lucky to find an available room here. The late night security guard and office staff was super friendly and helpful. We wished we could have stayed here longer and enjoyed the facilities and proximity to the beach. Next time we visit Kauai, Banyon Harbor Resort will be top of our list.

The property was convenient to the airport, and since we came in very late and were leaving the next morning it met our needs.

The property was very dated. It was sufficiently comfortable, but it felt like it had been set up about 40 years ago and no one had really touched it since except to clean it. It was very much a condominium style property where individual owners rent out their properties. It is not a hotel with a restaurant or a place to get coffee or anything like that.
