"A great choice for a base from which to visit the area."

Well provisioned comfortable and warm cottage just right for a couple. Bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve had on our four week long road trip, with both of us waking up without sore backs. Quiet location with pretty gardens. A bowl of fresh flowers was a lovely touch.

Instructions for access were not timely, meaning we had some difficulty checking in. Most places will send a message a week out, or even the day before, giving notice what to do. Sending a message whilst one is on the road and not always able to see or pick it up just an hour before arrival is leaving things a bit late. We were unaware this was a possible self check in until we’d already upset another resident by mistake, couldn’t get in and thought to check Booking.com messages. The steep driveway could do with a load of tamped gravel to fill a rather large pothole.

The cottage was clean and well equipped and a welcome stopover on our journey to South Australia. Was walking distance from the town. Would certainly recommend this as a place for a short stay.

A hot plate would have been useful. Otherwise nothing I disliked
