La Galiniere Guest Cottages

Not very much the beds were comfortable.

The property was very tired. Lots of dead mosquitoes. Fans were not man enough to keep you cool. Swimming pool was green.

Property was very dated, but clean.

The property was incredibly dated, but clean. Dated furniture and very dated bathroom. Plus poor old dog spent an hour barking outside our apartment on the first night as she wanted to be let in. The owner alleged we hadn't made payment to stay, despite the fact that that our records from the booking showed we had. Threatened to call the police twice and accused us of " making off without payment, " the staff member then proceeded to look through our credit card detail ( I allowed this to try and assist and co-operate). There were calls to booking.com who informed the housekeeper we had paid. We stayed for an hour to try and establish the facts. We left on the understanding that further investigation was required. We have since had a letter off the owner, again accusing us of "making off without payment," and that in South Africa it was a criminal offence (obviously I'm aware of this). However we didn't "make off," we tried to facilitate a mutually agreed course of action. I left all our details and most certainly didn't make off! In all the years of utilising booking.com I have never received such treatment from a company that is supposed to be in hospitality. Horrible treatment, which left a stain on our holiday.

Comfortable great position close to town and Wine Tram terminal.

Reitha was very helpful and met us on arrival and check out. The location was quiet yet very close to town and the overall feeling was one of relaxation and rustic comfort. Lola was a lovely daily visitor to come and check in with us (one of the 3 friendly dogs).

The host is very attentive to the guests’ needs and there is always someone on the property to ask, if there are questions. The 2 bedroom Appartement is beautiful and very comfortable. We felt very well taken care of and can give our highest recommendation!

Second bedroom should have been aired Pool area needs some investment

Rietha was very helpful and welcoming and had our room ready earlier than usual as we arrived early. Great location near to town.
