Beautiful hotel with lovely amenities and staff. Would definitely recommend and return!

Rooms are quite small and there was only room for one luggage rack which was challenging because we were coming from the USA for 10 days with 2 large suitcases

Almost everything.

Beach service was not working properly.

Excellent room, beautiful view of the water. The hotel restaurant with indoor and outdoor views were perfect. Everything about the hotel itself from the small details in the room to the pool to the beach club were well thought out and felt luxurious.

When we went, the weather was stormy on our first day. This meant that the beach was closed (no problem). However the next day when the weather was nicer the hotel didn’t open the beach. They had men working to bring down beach furniture the whole day but didn’t put out any lounge chairs or even offer towels to sit on the beach. The day after that, the beach club was open as usual and lovely. Overall I was disappointed in the decision making not to prioritize the experience of the many guests (not just us) who wanted to enjoy the beach and had to hike up to our rooms to get towels or take them from the pool. On our last day, there were tradesmen doing plaster and paint work in our hallway at around 8:30am. This was in my opinion far too early for non-essential repairs to be carried out. Overall, the hotel itself was beautiful but the decisions to not prioritize guest experience with the beach club and the repairs in the hotel were disappointing and felt like there wasn’t an engaged member of hotel management making decisions to ensure the best experience even in challenging circumstances (like the day after a rainstorm).

Everything was perfect! We were there for our honeymoon so the staff kindly upgraded us and gave us a beautiful bottle of wine that we enjoyed on our balcony. The breakfast was incredible, everything was thought out, and the attention to detail was fantastic. It's so great that you can enjoy the hotel by the sea but then also get a free shuttle up to Taormina and have access to the other Belmond hotel as well. All in all, we'll definitely be going back as we loved every minute.

The location directly on the beach is the best thing about the hotel as well as the impeccable service.
