Milky Bay Resort

The bathroom facilities are terrible. Showering would trip the electricity and I’d be in the dark until maintenance could get it back on. A part of the resort near where I was situated was under construction so hearing grinding and people walking around the room all morning isn’t my idea of leisure. The pizza from the restaurant was 5 star pizza which was a real positive about the place.

We came hoping for a quiet getaway and we couldn't have asked for a better place to do this than Milky Bay Resort on Koh Phangan. Even though this property is set back not far from the main road, it is so quiet and right on the beach. We could see the beautiful calm beachview from our room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The free breakfast choices were wonderful as well as the menu for lunch and dinner right there at the resort. The pool was so clean and the water a perfect temperature for cooling down. A few feet from the registration is a place you can rent scooters to easily take yourself around to see the rest of the island. Peaceful! Wonderful! We hope to return.

Rooms are nice and big & clean for a single traveler. The sea is unfortunately not that much good. Sun set view is amazing. The food and staff are over a standard for Tailand👌 Massage center is recommended.

Lovely resort in a good area of the island Restaurant lovely and breakfast lovely - friendly waiting staff and nice drinks Beach and pool also really nice We had the cheapest room and it was pretty basic although functional and right on the beach. Reception staff not very helpful. Also no pier pickup service which was surprising as hostels offering for free. Otherwise really good stay, would stay here again.

We were here for 4 nights as a couple. Basically we liked our stay very much, but we can not recommend the small bungalows. We stayed in the cheapest bungalow and it was so small that you could not even place the open suitcase. In addition, windows and doors were not tight, so we had many mosquitoes in the room. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was also right above our heads, so we both caught colds. When using the shower, the whole bathroom floods because the drain is at the other end of the room. Also, there are no electrical outlets in the bathroom. But otherwise the room was clean and the bed was large and comfortable. We especially liked the hotel grounds. It is really in the middle of the beach, there is soft sand everywhere and the restaurant is also right at the water. There is also a pool table and a ping pong table, both of which we used very often. Special praise must be given to the helpful, friendly hotel staff, who were always eager to make one's stay as comfortable as possible. When we arrived the first evening, our window would not close. There were some communication difficulties with the ladies at the reception because they really didn't understand a word of English. In the following days, however, all the ladies at the reception could speak perfect English, which made communication much easier. Nevertheless, the ladies gave us a new room for one night, which was a great relief. Right next to the hotel is a scooter rental. We rented a scooter here, which was really uncomplicated and cheap. In the area there is very cheap and delicious street food, for example at "Mama Thai Food" or "Life Style" with super nice owners. The breakfast in the hotel is delicious and there is a choice of several dishes. However, it is "a la carte" and you can only order one dish. The portion is a bit small for a grown man, so you would actually have to order 2-3 dishes to get full. Even the most expensive breakfast "Milky Bay Breakfast" includes only 2 slices of toast, 2 fried eggs, a few mushrooms, 2 slices of tomato and a single piece of bacon (?!). Fortunately, free fruit (pineapple or watermelon) is always offered as well, which helps you get a little fuller. Conclusion: if I had to rate our room exclusively, I would only give the resort 2 out of 5 stars. I've slept in beachfront bungalows in Thailand that cost between 10€-20€ per night and were more comfortable and modern than our bungalow (50€ per night). However, due to the fantastic service, the great facility and the nice staff I give 4 out of 5 stars and the following advice: Don't book the smallest, cheapest bungalow! We saw the better rooms from the outside and they looked really big and modern. If we had stayed in such a room, I would have definitely given 5 out of 5 stars!

Nice peaceful stay at Milky Bay. The bed was super comfortable and it was a nice touch to have glass water bottles in the room as well as a refillable water station. The staff were very attentive. The views out to sea on a sunny day are beautiful. The bungalows need a small lick of paint and the window latches readjusting then I would say it’s pretty much 10/10. Breakfast was ok - would’ve liked a better selection of fruit or the opportunity to help yourself to more butter/jam.

We booked as it was close to KBA kitesurfing and it was a great find. We had a bungalow on the beach with a veranda overlooking the restaurant/bar and beach. The room was everything we needed, the big steps down to the bathroom can be a little challenging in the dark at night. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the loungers on the beach are great to hangout and chill. There is a restaurant on site but also plenty of places to walk to or short ride on a motorbike

Went to Milky Beach for drinks and lunch. Tony and Christopher were amazing servers. Highly recommend, we’ll be back for sure! If you’re looking for a good time, attentive staff and good food, you’re at the right place.

Please please please try the salmon & or tuna! With vegetables and potatoes. Honestly, the best salmon I’ve had on the island! The staff are all so beautiful and helpful. It’s located on the beach, which nice weather you can be with your feet in the sand and if it’s raining there is also a gorgeously decorated inside area. It’s an absolute must to eat here a couple of times if your on the island. Also their fruit shakes, and cocktails are great! See you soon guys! Thank you for the wonderful smiles and service

Nice atmosphere and good bar, restaurant and games section. Office staff could have been a bit friendlier but overall I had a good experience. The food is good too, particularly the seafood and burgers.
