Best Western Balgeddie House Hotel

This is the worst stay I’ve ever had at Balgeddie and I won’t be returning! We booked two rooms and in both bathrooms the toilets would not flush properly. In the double room, the bathroom was disabled access. This wasn’t an issue, however if you were requiring an accessible bathroom and toilet it was useless! The shower curtains were not easy to slide along the poles and the secondary shower just sprayed all over the bathroom and therefore made the whole floor wet and slippery! Again the toilet did not flush and with any attempt to flush the water just sprayed out of the bowl and all over the floor! The lighting was also appalling, and with the floor being as wet as it was because of the ridiculous set up of the bathroom it was a very hazardous situation to be in! We had to keep drying the floor with one of the towels so not run the risk of slipping. This was a completely unacceptable situation to be in! Our breakfast was utterly disgusting! As said previously, we have been regular customers to Balgeddie over the years and the breakfast was always a highlight. This time, if the food wasn’t burnt to a crisp it was cold! The only positive we can take from the stay is that we only had to stay one night!

It is an older style hotel with a mix of old and new rooms. Unfortunately I was in an older room. It was large but dated.

A very tranquil place, we relaxed and soaked it in. Staff were all very pleasant, the stand out was Julie at reception, she is exceptional, super welcoming and attentive for our entire stay. The Pool and Spa were very clean and modern. The Garden grounds were stunning and very well kept, a lot of work. Great Breakfast, bottom line is we will definitely return.

Picky, but the put down bed for our Daughter was a little springy and she said a bit uncomfortable.
