Hotel Tivoli Beira

The hotel is good but quite expensive

the rooms are basic and small enough

Clean. Had everything I needed. Very nice people. Quiet. After other reviews I was afraid that the (basic) room would be very tiny... for sure it was not huge, but space was entirely enough to be comfortable, open the suitcase on the floor and still walk around etc (definitely larger than small rooms in Tokyo or London). I asked for a late check out and they had no problem.

Would have appreciated a bit more choice for breakfast. Neighbourhood does not feel safe to walk in (... but one can just call a Yango)

The breakfast was great, I like that they had a variety of foods to choose from. and the location is close to public transport And it was easy to get transport to the airport the staff quickly organised it for me

The room was small, very small It was hard to move around in the bathroom because of how small it is and they provided less utensils they did not provide lotion, shower gel as most hotels do.

Very nice hotel - with friendly staff. Clean, compact room. Food was good, especially the pizzas. Hot items at the breakfast buffet were cold - could have been kept hot! You can walk for 5 minutes to the park where there is a boardwalk and playground alongside the river/lake and a bar to have a drink overlooking the water.

The hotel is very well located, in the centre of Beira and with easy access to many facilities even on foot. Modern design and very clean. The staff is extremely friendly. Internet works perfectly and so does the plumbing (both are never guaranteed in Africa). The rooms are very clean and well equipped with all amenities. The hotel restaurant has delicious meals, the service is impeccable and the price is as usual for any other local restaurant.

I'm not sure if the problem is with the hotel or with Booking: according to the Booking description, the room should be 18 m², but the room I received was only 12 m². Also according to the Booking description, there would be a hairdryer, but there was none. The bathroom is 2 m² (including the shower!). It is very difficult to move around inside.

The rooms were very small as were the showers.

The restaurant: very noisy guests at the restaurant and none from the Hotel warning them; the garçons looked very lazy; The room service: for two times I did not get the towels I was supposed to. In the first room I entered, the AC was leaking water to the floor and the desk lamp was not lighting. I had to change the room and in the second one, I had only two towels (the floor towels were not there) and the desk lamp was there but it was not possible to position it as I wnated because it was broken and couldnt fix in any normal position. Thus, it was totally useless.

You need to upgrade your elevator. Really old and slow.
