Riad CHERRATA

I would definitely come here again and would highly, highly recommend it to anyone considering a riad in the medina of Marrakech!

We stayed at the Riad for 3 nights. Our reason for choosing a Riad was to add a cultural flavour to our stay and our reason for choosing Riad Cherrata was the excellent reviews and proximity to Jamaa el Fna. I am probably going to repeat what everyone else has already said, but Valeria is simply delightful. I have never felt so welcomed and shown such warm hospitality in any hotel (and I have stayed at 100s!). We arrived at the Riad at 10pm and Valeria had left us a welcome note, a map, mobile, and tons of useful leaflets in a basket. The maid took our luggage upstairs, poured us some mint tea, and served us lots of Morrocon treats. This left a good first impression. Our room was as described and everything was clean. Breakfast was ready for us at our requested time. There was a fresh loaf of bread, pancakes, pitta bread, chocolate bread, croissants, fresh orange juice, home made yoghurt, and choice of tea bags. Throughout our stay, Valeria guided us, helped us plan our sightseeing, and was generally very friendly.

Fabulous helpful service from Valerie and her team. The magic map is incredibly helpful. Tasty huge breakfasts. Just ten minutes walk to Jeema el Fna and the souks.

Location and service both fantastic. Valerie could not have been more helpful. Small but well equipped room and delightful shared roof terrace was just perfect for some R&R after travelling and the busy souks. If you are looking for a convenient base within easy walking distance of the Medina Riad Cheratta is for you!

Don't stay anywhere else in Marrakesh....you have to stay at the Riad Cherrata! Valerie & her staff made our stay so easy & couldn't do enough for us. Valaries 'magic map' got us around the area with ease & we even helped out another couple of tourists using it! Breakfast is amazing & staying in the real Morocco in a Riad made our stay so enjoyable.....seriously you won't find better even if you paid double. You are a 10-15 min walk away from the main square & the souks. The best Hammam massage is a 25 min walk & again Valarie will point you in the right direction. She will even ring the restaurants, the Hammam & the taxi firms, agree the prices & make the bookings for you :o)

The Riad is lovely and is about 10-15 minutes walk from the square. Supper service from Valerie, she organised our airport transfers, booked trips and made reservations for us. She really took care of us, advising us, giving maps and making restaurant recommendations. The Riad is also very safe. There are lots of great places to see in Marrakech but good to plan before going especially if you are going for a few days. I will definitely stay in Valerie's Riad when I visit Marrakech again. The mint tea and pancakes with honey are the best at the Riad.

Although I was only there for a few nights, Valerie and the ladies at Riad Cherratta were amazing hosts. Valerie gave a "major map" she made to get around the medina and it was amazing!!! So helpful and never got lost. All her dining and cafe recommendations were also excellent! She also provided a phone and her mobile number incase of anything... From the welcome tea and pastries to the homemade delicish breakfast it was such a treat! And a quite respite away from the crazy fun of Marrakech! Would highly recommend a stay here!!!

We were made most welcome by Valerie and her team. Everyone was really attentive and nice and Valerie looked after us really well all through our stay and provided great advice and useful information. The Riad was spotlessly clean and well organised. Also very peaceful at night after busy days sightseeing.

A very warm welcome awaits from hotel owner Valerie with a pot of local mint tea and freshly baked pastries which were just the job... followed by maps ,guides and lots of info on the locality including do's / dont's and where to sample the best local food An excellent base to explore from and always a friendly welcome from Valerie and her small team on return
