Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha

We stayed at this property at the end of a two week trip. I am a Globalist so I am a loyal Hyatt patron. This property was not the best of the brand. The location at the airport is fine for a quick stop over but there is nothing around it if you want to walk to a restaurant. We did not get our suite upgrade so we just asked for a quiet room. The desk staff assured us we were in "the most quiet room" and "upgraded to a city view room". (a piece of advice for hotel staff--do not tell avid travelers they are getting an "upgrade to a city view" when it's not an upgrade-they are all city view rooms--we are fine with a standard room, just not the fluff)  After a long day of travel we settled in to sleep only to be shaken from our bed by the nightclub two floors down. The glassware and light fixtures in the room were vibrating from the bass. After a long debate with the front desk staff, they begrudginly moved our room at 1 am so we could get away from the noise and get some sleep. The breakfast buffet that is available is large and plentyful but it was difficult to find a seat on the weekend. It was much better during the week. The pool area was nice enough but it was in the shade most of the day.  I am sure that changes based on the time of year. The room was average. My biggest issue was the indifferent and borderline rude customer service. This is not typical for Hyatt so I suppose that is why I am so taken aback. There were a lot of locals in town for the soccer tournament and F1 Race and we felt that the staff was more concerned about catering to them that their other international guests. We loved Doha just not this property. I will stay at the Grand Hyatt or Andaz on our next trip for better service and location.

A great hotel to stay at whilst passing through Doha. Very spacious communal areas and rooms. Showers are revitalising whilst beds offer a great night's sleep. Staff seem a little miserable and don't smile much but overall it's definitely a good place to stay. The pool is absolutely fantastic but loses direct sunshine at 2:30. Airport access is very good too.

I travelled for work and had a great experience at this hotel. The staff is very polite and helpful, especially Avisikta who is extremely friendly, very prompt with her service and had great suggestions for places to see around Doha. I will definitely book my future stays here!

The room is overall good. However, the bathroom water doesn’t flow well, causing water to spill onto the floor, which is frustrating. Housekeeping entered my room while I was dressing without waiting for a response at the door, which was embarrassing. Additionally, laundry was not clearly communicated as a paid service, so I ended up spending extra. On the positive side, they offer complementary laundry and in-room breakfast, which is great for those who don’t prefer the buffet.

Great hotel but loved the service of the staff even more so. Me and my colleagues were treated exceptionally by all the staff especially Avishikta who was very professional

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was ample. The rooms were clean and fresh. Plus, don't miss having a meal and a drink at the garden area!

Great hotel clean smart and comfortable with lots of easily accessible amenities. Lovely buffet dinners in the evening at reasonable price. But best of the staff were amazing customer service was excellent and friendly from the moment we walked in the moment we left. Would definitely stay here again

Awful experience. Tried multiple times to order pick up from the airport but no one ever arrived and then, they lost my booking. So I was forced to check-in again, even though the room had been paid for in advance. After 14+ hours of travel I had to dig though my emails to prove payment to the front desk.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Doha and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The property is beautiful, the rooms are modern and spotless, and the overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Everything—from the comfort of the bed to the quality of the breakfast—exceeded my expectations. I would like to give a special mention to Abdessamad for his exceptional assistance during the reservation process. He was incredibly professional, patient, and attentive to every detail.
