"Great location, good potential, missing a bit of TLC."

Location was fantastic! Very close to all main attractions and good wineries, restaurants, etc. Property is very peaceful and surrounded by nature and wild animals. Watching kangaroos at all times around the property was priceless. Cottage is spacious and with all basic amenities covered. Staff left some breakfast for us which was also a nice touch.

Cottages are very old and run down. Bed was uncomfortable, the mattress was very thin and springs could be felt. Sadly we didn’t have a good rest. They still have the no human contact policy after covid, which is a shame. In my opinion, human interaction & connection is the most important dimension of hospitality in so many levels.. and without it, is just a big loss of opportunities.

"We loved this comfortable and peaceful bush retreat in the heart of the Hunter."

Comfortable and clean bush style cottages. Although quite old, we felt very comfortable there. It is in an excellent location in central Hunter Valley surrounded by wineries and close to the village. We were blessed to have many kangaroos living on the property so we were able to get quite close while they were grazing daily. This property also has a small pool which was a bonus as we were visiting in summer!

Maintenance of the cottages eg. Decking and outdoor furniture broken.
