The Glengower

Easy check in and very friendly staff. The room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was outstanding. The breakfast exceeded our expectations and is good value when included in the room rate.

Room was tired and needed updating especially the bathroom which had cracks everywhere. Hot day and the room was full of flies. They say this is a 4 star hotel but cannot see how. For the money would have expected a much better quality room

The staff are very friendly, and the service is generally good. However, we ate there tonight, I ordered a GF steak (GF options are quite limited, especially if you have other dietary requirements). When the waiter brought it, it had gluten-containing onion rings on the plate. This is the second time this has happened to me here. I'm not allergic, only intolerant, and was happy to move them to my partner's plate and eat the rest - although they did offer to take my plate back to the kitchen. However if this had happened to someone with a severe allergy, and they didn't think to double check it, it could have been very bad. The location is lovely, the atmosphere is lovely, the staff are lovely - but I don't think I'll be rushing back, sorry.
