Glenelg Dockside Motel

It's basic accommodation but the price reflects that. I was nervous before arriving that it would be terrible, but it really wasn't. It was absolutely fine and I quite enjoyed it. We stayed 4 nights and were very comfortable. Bed was clean and comfortable, good TV, fridge and kettle in room with plenty of tea, coffee and milk. We were in one of the older rooms away from the road (I requested to be away from the road as I hate road noise), but it was better than a lot of motels. I expect the newer rooms are that much nicer. Room didn't get serviced one day, which was strange, and the toilet could have been cleaner on our arrival. Toilet brush also broken, and both the hot and cold taps said hot on them, which is poor. Some small touches (i.e. addressing these points) would have made the room that much better. But overall it was good and I would happily stay again.

Everything was close by walkable to the restaurants and beach. Didn’t like that there isnt a receptionist around and hard to get them

Very convenient for us

We really enjoyed our stay here, it was close enough to walk but far away enough to be out of the hustle and bustle. The room was clean and comfy, the bathroom could do with an upgrade but still nice.

It has a great location and a soft bed. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly (there was food in the sink and a tampon wrapper on the floor) and its quite an old room - expected from a motel. The hotel charged my card despite the booking being handled through Expedia. The lady on the phone explained that sometimes Expedia doesn't send through the chargeback information correctly, therefore, the amount gets paid on the card on file - this should not be the case and it's a double charge and this should be a conversation with Expedia without having to make the guest pay twice. It's now going to be refunded but will take 5-10 days eek

We arrived late from the airport. It would have been nice to be able to get a meal or snack. We had not eaten as we left Perth at 5 but arrived at the motel 11.30 in the evening.

Grateful for the free upgrade but hotel neglected to tell us that spa in room was decommisioned - only found out after filling up and realising pump not working. Great location and large comfortable bed but otherwise pretty basic.
