Kyoto Ryokan The Kinoe

Great place to have the Ryokan experience.

This ryokan has to be the most authentic, comfortable, and friendliest stay in Kyoto. The morning kaiseki breakfast was delectable. All staff I interacted with were extremely kind and made every effort to help with any language barriers. The room was spacious, tatami-covered, and had a comfortable futon with all the thoughtful amenities you’d expect in a modern hotel. Will certainly be back when I visit Kyoto again!

We wish we could stay this Ryokan forever. Worth going to Kyoto just for the experience of staying here. Could not recommend more!

Wonderful Ryokan. A new and unique breakfast each day was a special touch on top of the Kaiseki dinner (all of which were very Japanese flavours- we loved, but may not be for those who prefer western flavours). The only thing would be that it would be nice to make the booking all in one rather than having to book the kaiseki night separately. Would very happily return.

Fantastic location, beautiful rooms, and a delicious traditional breakfast. Staff were incredibly attentive and kind. I wasn’t able to use the onsen, but my partner did and enjoyed it very much.

Exceptional experience for those who want to try how it feels to live in a traditional Japanese house. The staff was very attentive. Breakfasts and dinners were fantastic. Onsen was very enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay at this Ryokan. It was very conveniently located, room was spacious and the staff were attentive.

This is a very traditional hotel. We slept on tatami and ate the Kaiseki dinner in our room. It’s a rather expensive stay but we got to try it.
