3 night stay in April 2019. The hotel may have been ok at one time but its worn and smells like dirty carpet. Breakfast was average at best. Just not up to global standards. You can tell that the owners just don't invest or take interest in the property. Forget TV - the signal was basically non existent - terrible reception and bad sound - again you can tell that they are not willing to pay for signal strength and forget any international news channels. Internet was spotty. This is definitely not a business hotel.

The Rio was great for what my friend and I needed for our stay. The front desk staff were very helpful and spoke both English and Spanish. Was a very quick check-in and check-out process. We didn't take advantage of the complimentary breakfast as we wanted to eat in the city. But the late wake ups and having housekeeping come back after we left the room made the stay feel much warmer. My only true complaint about the stay, was the shower curtain was not long enough for the bath tub. This caused the washroom floor to get wet and we had to clean it after all finished showering. In all I would recommend this hotel to other travelers
