Hotel De l'Europe

Great shower in the room, the bed was very good and the room was clean, the whole place had a typical french old school charm to it, which is unique, if you can appreciate it. And ofcourse Gaspard the parrot makes quite an impression in the breakfast area. And, a very good and safe space to stall and service my bike, which I find is great service.

I was not impressed by the breakfast. It was a bit on the sober side. For the price, I’d expected some more diverisity, options and fresh products, like fruit, or cheese. The room was not the one I actually booked on booking.com, and it came with an odd explanation, but I decided not to pursue the matter. And, although there is hardly any sound from the road in front of the hotel to cause disturbance, the hotel itself is very old and very! noisy. Banging waterpipes, flushing toilets, creaking wooden floors between the rooms on the first and second floor. I could even hear my ‘neighbours’ in the adjacent rooms snore and fart at night. If you are sensitive to such things, this hotel is defintely not the place for you.
