Regal Palms Resort

Stayed 2 nights - 1st morning at 4:30am, we were woken by yelling & screaming abusive language directly outside our bedroom window. It appears this is a homeless person sleeping directly outside the room. Later during the day, we returned to the resort and notice that this person was still outside the room. I reported this to reception as I did not want a repeat of the yelling of abusive language to happen the next morning while sleeping. (Reception reassured me to leave it with them and that they would call police). 2nd morning at 3:00am, we were awoken once again by very loud abusive yelling. The disruption to sleep was very disturbing and unacceptable. I now feel that we should have been offered another room away from the disturbance.

Comfortable and modern room. Clean and well maintained. Very spacious and modern bathroom which included a huge spa bath and open rainhead shower and underfloor heating. Friendly and helpful staff. Although not right in the town centre, still only a 5 min drive away and close to other attractions like Te Puia. Some great facilities like tennis court, mini golf and pool.

The gym needs some replacement equipment. Used to have an onsite bar and restaurant but these are not operational. Would be awesome if they were.

We loved the location, The playground for kids, the mini golf, the pools, the gym The underfloor heating in the bathroom was just the best. The huge bed was very comfortable The room was very clean and so spacious Kitchen was very well equipped Loved the Atrium areas where our family of 17 could all hang out together in the evenings All the staff we encountered were lovely and very friendly

The slipperyness of the shower floor, would have been safer if it had non slip bubbles on it I slipped a bit with the 1st shower and felt very unsafe after that, so had to be very careful with a bad knee, Shame it didn't have a restaurant and bar though, although we did know that before we booked Although we loved the Atrium areas, they could have done with a couple of wall heaters

Everything was great, the staff were awesome especially the lovely reception lady
