The Nishiyama family take care of every detail to make you feel comfortable. The room was very spatious and comfortable. The hotel has some nice traditional activities.

"Very pleasant stay at the heart of Kyoto"

Staff is very attentive. Helped us booked good restaurants in the area. Location is central with good restaurants, walking distance to Gion district. Macha tea ceremony was incredible. After they show how to perform it, they allow guests to prepare the tea for the significant other. Additional bonus is the on premise onsen.

Onsen had chlorine smell. But it is not a big deal, it is still nice to use it after the whole day of walking

Exceptional service and friendly staff. Complimentary drinks, laundry, hand warmers, tea ceremony, recommendations and more. Our favorite ryokan weโ€™ve stayed at in Japan. Located a short walk from the shopping street.
