This used to be a nice hotel 5 years ago managed by a European. Now it has local management. Maintenance and service going down. The bar at the rooftop was closed. The bar downstairs closes at 10 pm ( before it was 12 am if I remember well). At 8.30 pm they already start to put the bottles away. The working space behind the bar is a mess. The carpet in the room has plenty of cigarette spots. Very little water coming out of the tap.

The breakfast is manly suited to locals which I understand. Location was good for me. Rooms are very old and dirty-mouldy bathroom, dirty carpet, small room and old fittings. How you rate this place as 4 star? More like 2 star

The first time I went to Surabaya, I stayed at Java Paragon. In my opinion, the room price is affordable. The room was clean. The facilities were like those of a typical hotel. The service was friendly. The breakfast had a good variety. Its location is also strategic, close to many interesting places in Surabaya.
