Location

I booked a 2 bedroom spartment at Java Paragon Hotel. The photos and reviews looked so good. On arrival we were told that we stayed in another tower then the hotel. The apartment was large, but there was a weird, disgusting smell. The uncomfortable seating area and rug were covered with stains. There was no drinking water. There was a large kitchen, but it was bare. There were 4 cups, plates, forks and spoons. No teaspoons, no knives. On the booking it said that there was free transport shuttle to the airport. Nope. 300.000 rupiah. The swimming pool was not privately located, so we didn't use it. It was a horrible experience. I can't believe I paid NZ$200 for this hovel. We were in Java for 3 weeks in 10 different places with swimming pool and staff and spent less for those amazing accomodations than for this disgusting place. I can't believe Java Paragon Hotel gets so many good reviews. I want my money back!!!

Super value. Very clean. Extremely friendly, helpful & knowledgable staff. Breakfast buffet varied & complete with delicious food. Spacious room super clean, nice towels & plenty hot water. Difficult to find better in this price range.

All was great but only 1 electrical outlet in room + 1 in bath. Built before smartphone revolution!!
