Excellent stay! Clean, comfortable bed, simple breakfast provided. Friendly customer service, amazing sunset view and a good workout to climb back the stairs everytime :)

The rooftop is incredible.

This hotel is wonderful with very friendly staff, and it is well-maintained. The view from the rooftop patio and pool area is amazing. However, the roads outside the hotel are extremely steep, which makes parking challenging. Additionally, walking in the immediate vicinity of the hotel can be difficult. I would not recommend this location for anyone with limited mobility.

Absolutely adorable little hotel. Staff was very nice. Amazing views from the rooftop pool area and the kitchen where breakfast was served. Our room was clean and comfortable. Only warning I’ll give is that it’s located at the top of a very steep hill and to get down to the main downtown area you have to use a lot of steep steps. Wasn’t an issue for us, but if you have any mobility issues it’s something to keep in mind.

Beautiful view of the beach and the city

The views were stunning, the staff outstanding but it was the marriage between authentic Mexican culture and hospitality that had us sold. We met several other guests from all over North America during breakfast which was served in the common area right by our room, Sol 4. The room was large with firm but very comfortable beds(2) The bathroom is outside the room but secure and for our room's exclusive use, it was not an issue for us. The only downside is the hill the hotel sits on, if you have mobility issues you will need to use Ubers or taxis to get there. Having said that, once you have done the hill several times it gets easier but Uber/taxis are super inexpensive. I highly recommend this hotel if you want something romantic and not your standard cookie cutter. Again the staff especially Mercedes were super helpful and accommodating. Loved our stay.

Booked this hotel for 6 nights in April. As you first enter the hotel, you're hit with a strong smell of chemicals, which, as we later realized, are used to deal with a severe infestation problem. Our room (Eclipse 2) was absolutely filthy with hair everywhere on the floor, ceiling fans with years of dirt and dust on them, unwashed bed skirts (one of them had an old blood stain - wow!). The bathroom was very smelly and made the entire room smell like a dirty gas station bathroom. The toilet seat was broken, there was rust everywhere and under the sink there was a large old stain and a very musty smell. The tiny (completely useless) balcony was facing someone else's apartment. Mattresses are old, hard and lumpy with no life left in them. But to top it all off, we saw a giant 2.5 inch cockroach in the rooftop pool area that ran next to my husband's head as he was reclining on a couch. Plus another one in our room the next day. Having had enough, we decided to find another hotel and move out for the last 2 nights of our stay. After we talked to the hotel manager (Beatriz Vera) and described the issues, she was very apologetic and said that she would definitely approve the refund for the last 2 nights, as long as we contacted the third party from which we booked the hotel, first. The most disturbing part? The third party contacted the hotel multiple times, with no response, and eventually the manager replied refusing to approve the refund. What kind of a business what do that?

This is a wonderful, art filled hotel where you feel like you are in Mexico. You can easily get an Uber, but what fun we had walking up and dow stairs outside to get to famous places in minututes.
