Burghotel Staufenberg

This was exactly as we imagined - an amazing castle experience! The facilities exceeded our expectations & we loved being able to explore the wider grounds. We were only there for one night and wish it could have been longer. We had dinner and breakfast during our stay and the food & service were great, too. Unfortunately, we were staying at the same time as a large wedding party so there was not much breakfast left - but the staff did the best they could to keep up with demand & I am sure that we would have been well-fed if we had waited longer (or got up earlier), so this is not a complaint. As a family of 5 it is always challenging to find suitable rooms that can accommodate us. While both rooms were at opposite ends (and wings) of the castle, we were just happy that we could fit! There were no promises of adjoining rooms, so this was not surprising. My only regrets during our stay is that we couldn't stay longer & that I wish I had spent more time learning German - neither of which are reflective of the accommodation/staff in any way (100% a "me" problem)! Nettes Ambiente, Mitarbeiter meistens sehr bemüht, Essen im Restaurant gut.

Vereinzelt fehlte die Qualifikation der Mitarbeiter für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel, das Frühstücksbuffet wurde aus Personalmangel kaum oder nur auf Nachfrage aufgefüllt, passende Teller gab es bis zum Schluss nicht. Getränke nur auf Anfrage, mit Ausnahme des alkoholfreien Sekts am Ende. Alles nicht schlimm, aber die Erwartung war eine andere. Vielleicht lag es wirklich nur an der personalbedingten Überlastung an dem Wochenende.

Für die Jahreszeit die Bettdecken ein bisschen zu warm, aber das ist Geschmacksache 😀

Es lag sehr schön oberhalb von Stauffenberg. Die Zimmer waren sehr gemütlich.
