I had a wonderful time during my stay.

Finding the entrance to the hotel was difficult, clearer signage on the road to direct staff to the front door would be helpful. Staff allowed me to check in early so I could sleep which I appreciated. Unusual setup - the building is a dentist, hotel and also has a juice caravan out front. While I was unsure about the hotel on arrival, I really enjoyed my stay. While I shared a bathroom, the hotel had plenty of bathrooms to share/use, so no waiting. The views from the hotel decks were amazing. Hotel also close to good walking tracks and close to the main town. Hotel also had a good feel, all guests were respectful and conformed to cleaning up after themselves. Hotel attracted mature guests 40-50-60s.

A great relaxing place to stay, especially after walking the Abel Tasman. Soaking in the claw-foot bath and sleeping in a spacious bed amongst my highlights. Easy access to town or to a local neighbourhood bar, the staff and facilities were fantastic. I would gladly and easily return for another visit.

Quiet and comfortable. Only slight reservation is bathrooms a bit pressured at peak times.

Charming historic colonial style building at the edge of town, yet only a few minutes walk to all the services of down town Nelson.

Excellent facilities and thoughtful, helpful, friendly staff. Very central - everything I needed within walking distance. Wonderful well restored historic building and my room was sublime - spacious, elegant and great views.

Room 5 was a bit noisy as it was near the kitchen, but other than that it was all good :-)
