I’ve stayed at Staybridge Suites University Area by IHG several times in the past, and while the experience was usually just okay, this recent stay was truly disappointing. It was so bad that I checked out a full day early. Unfortunately, the hotel didn’t officially check me out until today, even though I left yesterday. We were originally placed in a room with a filthy, stained mattress on the sofa bed—it was absolutely unacceptable. We requested to be moved, and while the staff did accommodate the request, the new room had an overpowering smell of fried food that made it impossible to relax. The odor was so strong and unpleasant that we decided to cut our trip short. I will not be returning to this location again.

I like the option to have a 2 bedroom suite for large families.

I didnt like that the pool was closed in the middle of summer. I think the repairs should have been done way in advance before the summer when most guest are expected to have pool access.

Eating area too small for that size of hotel and not enough trolley carts for the capacity of hotel. Beds were very firm as well

The breakfast was amazing!!!!! The best we had had anywhere! So many choices and it was delicious!

The pool was absolutely disgusting and filthy. My kids got sick from being in it. It was milky looking and had stuff floating in it.
