Chinggis Khaan Hotel

The hotel was probably top tier back in the days, but is showing its age. The room is spacious, but the facilities need an update. Breakfast choices are not great

Skuffende opphold. Ventet mer av et 4* hotell med det navnet. Fasaden er fin, men inni oppleves det nesten 3*. Lite rom, lite bad. Finnes bedre mer sentralt beliggende hoteller i Ulaanbaatar. Utvalget til frokost var lite kl 0900. Service var det ikke. Jeg snakket ikkE med noen, og ingen fylte på bufferen der det manglet. Bortgjemt spa i kjelleren som ikke viste interesse for å få nye kunder.

Friendly staff, spacious and clean room

Before checking you out they still send their staff to the room to check if you did not steal towel or blanket :) . Like in old soviet times

My stay was wonderful.

The Hotel is well located, with a groccery store close and walking distance to central monuments. The gym was well stocked (although rarely open) and the staff were friendly and communicated well.

The hotel is outdated and for the price I would consider it run down. The room are old, broken tiles, stained ceiiling and had some cockroaches in the sinks. Came during Nadan festival, a very touristy period yet the main facilities of the hotel closed. While i was there no room service, the one coffee shop closed the gym closed, and even getting an aiport taxi was difficult.

It is nice hotel with few amenities and a good location. Staff was not particularly helpful perhaps because of limited English knowledge. There is a bar in the hotel which has a large selection of liquors from different parts of the world but does not serve food. Also, there is a Chinese restaurant which did not look promising, so I did not venture into it.
