Tambor Tropical - Adults Only

Parfait pour découvrir le sud de la presqu’ile de Nicoya et profiter d’un cadre tranquille et reposant.Niché en bout de la plage publique de Tambor dans un parc, calme et repos sont au rendez-vous dans ce joli petit complexe hôtelier. Les bungalows possèdent 2 étages. Chacun correspond à un beau studio (4 couchages), cuisine ouverte, salle d’eau confortable à deux, coin salon. Décoration très chaleureuse. Tous les bungalows s’ouvrent sur la plage immense. Hôtel bien entretenu( choix d’un tissu uni bleu pour le canapé et les fauteuils risqué : passe au soleil, tache de produits solaires par des occupants peu précautionneux). Cela est minime,les prestations sont en phase avec la catégorie de l’hôtel et ce qu’il annonce. Piscine et jacusi très bien entretenus, mobilier de piscine en excellent état. Si vous vous levez avec le soleil, vous pourrez observer le manège des iguanes, des écureuils et d’une belle variété d’oiseaux magnifiques de votre fauteuil. Petit déjeuné à la carte, sans excès et sans surprise. Nous avons diner au restaurant au bord de la piscine : nourriture simple et bonne et prix très corrects. Personnel sympathique et serviable. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet hôtel qui nous a permis à la fois le contact avec la vie Costa-Ricienne (proximité de la plage publique, du petit village et ses services) et le calme apaisant de la nature grâce au joli parc naturel. C’est pour nous une bien jolie adresse et nous aurions plaisir à y revenir et la recommandons.

I wish I could give it more than a 5 star rating. I was at Tambor Tropical 20 years ago, and it's still as beautiful as ever. Great food. Rooms are awesome, made out of local hardwoods. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about TT. I will definitely come back, and hopefully sooner than 20 years. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet, laid back vacation. With only 10 rooms, you will not like this hotel if you are looking for crazy nightlife.

Séjour au calme avec les aras les écureuils qui passent vous voir . C'est idéal pour profiter de l'immense plage très calme sable très fin. Vue superbe de la chambre. De nombreuses promenades à partir de l'hôtel pour voir les oiseaux .......et un crocodile au passage!!!!!

The extremely high humidity was not the fault of the hotel. It could be blamed on el Nino. I live in the US South and am use to high humidity levels but this took the cake. The beach is not crowded. The only real issue was the lack of off site places to eat. There is a small store just around the corner in which you can purchase just about anything you need.

This is a perfect hotel to relaxation, in the middle of beatiful tropical forest. No TV's, phone neither in rooms. I was late and one person was waiting for me, but the restaurant close at 10:00 pm. The poolside bar is the restaurant. I have to wait for the wi-fi password until the next day. The personal attention was great.

An oasis where you don't expect it!!! Our eyes widened as soon as we came on the site and so did our smile!!!!

The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, the main problem was that there was no air conditionining in our room. When I booked the room, I had no idea that my room would not have air. Apparently, some rooms do have air. The continental breakfast that was included was very good with plenty of fresh fruit. The beach in front of the hotel was pretty from a distance, but the sand was very dark and not inviting when you got close to it. Being from Florida, where the beaches are beautiful put this beach at a disadvantage.

The check-in staff seemed caught completely by surprise when we showed up with our reservation confirmation. No welcome, no information about the facility or possible tours. The place was pretty empty. Only after we got to the room did we learn there was an extra $40 refundable fee to get a room safe key. Over all, the staff was unhelpful. However, the facility is beautiful, upscale. Breakfast by the pool, lovely and well done. We connected with a snorkel tour on a tip from a couple that showed up at the bar the first night..
