The Netley

I cannot rate this B&B highly enough. From the moment we booked we were made to feel welcome. Room was large, very clean, bright, airy and beautifully made up and presented. Breakfasts were plentiful, home made and fresh with lots of choice. The owners, Angie and Mike really do make the place extra special though; they were so helpful and friendly and could not do enough for us. My husband, our 11 year old and I will be returning here on our next visit to Torquay. This has got to be up there in one of the best small B&Bs in Torquay. Thanks guys, you made our weekend even better.

The room only has a small window above eye level which is not that good, but otherwise it's an alright old-fashioned B&B. The main problem is that on arrival I was told breakfast was 8.30 to 9.00 with not offer of any flexibility, that's not really good enough these days (and you have to specify what you want the evening before). The wifi was not that good either, I had to go out on the landing to pick up the network.

Owners were really friendly and willing to help - good location 10 min walk from the main harbour,shops and nightlife but also very quiet

We enjoyed afternoon tea on arrival . Staff so very helpful . True only a small hotel but personal service was very good .

The bnb is in a beautiful house that has not been updated for many years so it is a bit of a step back in time to be amongst the dated furniture and furnishings. The owners are friendly and helpful but are hoping to sell The Nutley so that may account for the lack of recent investment. Our room was spacious but had a microscopic ensuite including a toilet and a very weak shower. The towels were changed each day (unnecessarily in my view) but I would say that they were loin cloth sized and getting dry was a little challenging. The bnb is well located for the pretty gardens, Torre abbey, prom and town itself. Lots to do in the greater area of Torbay. Good transport via buses boats and steam trains. Parking on the drive available or on street free of charge.

It was very nice, nice people and the breakfast wash very nice with fresh fruit.

Lovely friendly hosts,nothing was too much trouble. I have soya milk instead of dairy and redbush t bags and was given a steady supply in my room- no other place i have stayed have done that for me. We were also supplied with a map on arrival to show us how to get to the shops or the beach/esplanade area. A short walk through abbey gardens takes you to the beach. Buses can be caught on esplanade and train station very close.

cannot fault the hotel clean comfortable good service piping hot breakfast plenty of choice. location very good close to torquay seafront. we had the family room which was very spacious for three of us. shower room very small but serviceable.free wifi in all areas very good signal

Me and my husband went for a weekend break we arrived early and were welcomed by a lovely couple who let us book in straight away. We had a lovely comfortable room and nothing was too much trouble. Amazing place we will return.

Lovely place, met with a pot of tea. Room very clean and spacious. Good selection for Breakfast, nothing to much trouble for them. Perfect location.
