As it was our first visit to Ashbourne for a friend's wedding, we found this hotel was ideally situated near the centre of town, an easy walk to the bus station, church, shops, pubs, & restaurants. The hotel, like the town, has loads of history at every turn. Our room was warm and snug, with a large comfy bed, a splendid view, and the essential mod-cons (TV, wifi, kettle for tea & coffee, tub-shower combo). Our stay was only 2 nights, our needs were simple, and this place added so much to the quality of our visit. The lounge, bar, and dining room are like a time capsule of a bygone era. Dave, the ever helpful proprietor, made it all seem effortless. We would return in a heartbeat.
