Good breakfast, good location

Rooms very stuffy and smelt. Carpets were not clean. Several facilities advertised on their website (,eg games room) did not exist. Internet was very slow. The hotel added charges without informing meet in advance.

Staff are fantastic, bedrooms are big with nice crisp bed linen, and the roof-top bar is exceptional with its views of Ambon and great choices on both the drinks menu and food menu. Best hotel in Ambon, in my opinion.

The 'fitness centre' was basic and quite sparse. Could start with more than one treadmill and bike, some gym/yoga mats for floor work and free drinking water, then build up with more hand weights (lightest weight was a very bulky pair of 5kg weights) and one or two multi purpose machines. Hotel in general starting to look a bit tired and in need of a freshen up, however, it's clean, comfortable and welcoming and I always look forward to staying there when I'm in Ambon.

Hotel is situated in city center. Excellent beds.

We stayed in 3 different hotels at Ambon. Swiss-bel was the least, unfortunately. They are now building a swimmingpool, but also recommendable is the much needed upgrade/renovation of the bathroom. And please replace the carpet (smelly when the aircon is off), so ridiculous in tropical climate. At the time we stayed here, the hotel has some technical issues which made the WiFi connection close to zero in de bedroom.
