"Agréable à part la réception"

8.0

"Overrated and overpriced, room info is false!"

2.0

Overrated hotel We booked a room with jacuzzi and rainshower... None if the rooms have those... We tried to complain about this but our lack of french and their lack of English didn't work out... The restaurant is overpriced

"Fantastic room"

8.0

First when we came to this small castle it felt a little spooky but when we saw our room - wow. Really charming hotel and personnel. We had really good and cosy breakfast times outdoor in front of the castle.

"Really French place to stay in Provence"

8.0

Having lived in France in the late 70's, I know that this small hotel is truly French. It is run by an older woman who wanted to put the Americans in the suite in the dependency which was dark and musty until I insisted it was too hot back there. We moved to a third floor suite that was wonderful: bright and sunny with gorgeous views and a killer bathroom. We had dinner there the first night surrounded by French couples and the food and wine were wonderful. It is very close to Orange and Chateauneuf du Pape and the countryside is gorgeous. There are also many wineries nearby with tasting rooms. The property is not in perfect condition but has lot of charm and is very comfortable in a perfect location in a small village.

"Quirkey experience!"

8.0

Unfortunately we were not expected despite having booked via Expedia, we were however made welcome. It turned out later that the booking had been received but the owner wasn't up to speed with using the internet! They don't seem too prepared for guests, we were up before the owner and waiting for breakfast! Great quirky experience, you need to speak french tho as they don't speak english.

"Charming country estate"

8.0

Chateau le Martinet is a charming country estate that has been converted to an Inn. Although no one speaks English, all you need is a small amount of hotel and restaurant French and you'll have no problem at all. Skip the garden rooms and go straight to the "castle" rooms, meaning you'll be in the main house. The bedroom looks like something from a museum exhibit (only you are allowed to touch) and the bathroom is very modern and spacious. Check out the pictures on the web page - the place looks just like that. Breakfast on the terrace was quite nice and of high quality.
