Château La Thuilière

Superb hosts who could not do enough to make the stay a pleasant one. Lovely Chateau with delicious home cooked food

Nothing really, though we would have appreciated a fridge in our room

The owner Stephan was a perfect host. He’s very proud of the Chateau and it’s history. He couldn’t do enough for you. The peace and quiet was just what we wanted and the pool was lovely.

We knew there was no air conditioning but we weren’t expecting the heatwave. This meant the room was unbearable with just a fan. This was no fault of the owners but worth bearing in mind during the summer. It’s a pity there was no food being served on the evening we were there due to staff having a day off. I understand this but after driving for hours during our tour of France we booked each stay to take advantage of on site food to avoid further driving on evenings.

We had such a fantastic stay at Chateau La Thiliere. The chateau was absolutely beautiful, and felt very exclusive whilst Stefan and Leyla were incredibly friendly. They were so knowledgeable about the area, and couldn’t have made us feel more at home in their beautiful chateau. Breakfast was delicious and the home cooked evening meals were of amazingly high standard.

We had an incredible experience. The chateau and surroundings are stunning; the rooms are very comfortable and very clean; the owners are super kind and flexible. We will come back!

What a stunning place to stay! A beautiful chateau, a hidden gem. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and tell the stories of the chateau and the food provenance. An excellent dinner outside and stunning breakfast.
