Staff was more than accommodating, they arranged excellent tour guides and made sure our expectations when picked up by taxis was explained. Breakfast was very good. Nice quiet hotel and felt very safe.

The rooms were clean, nicely furnished, and the historical ambience was great. The staff made the whole experrienc e excellent. From the kitchen staff who served a deo89c89us breakfast every j9rhi8hgk and took the time to talk to us about their city and its delights, to the desk staff who also arranged transportation for us with knowledgeable guides and drivers. We met the manager several times and she was a delightful person.

This hotel is beautiful. Like staying in your own private museum. The breakfast area is gorgeous and rooms are big and tastily decorated. All staff was wonderful and they even upgraded us to a bigger room because we were traveling with a baby. My only recommendation is to change the system to notify someone is at the door. Guests are not provided a key of the hotel front door and they have to ring the door to be let in. That's understandable, they want to make sure the hotel is secure. But we could hear the bell ringing

What a beautiful property! The staff were excellent, the food was delicious and the beds were incredibly comfy. Located in a very good location as well which made our stay even more memorable! Overall, it was a great stay!

Lovely hotel and location. Staff extremely helpful and accommodating. Great breakfast. Only problem was sound-doorbell rang at 7am each of 5 mornings of our stay. Sound insulation was poor as well. Could hear talking, laughing, walking overhead at all hours.

Hotel Casa San Marcos is located on a quiet street in Old Town, Quito. It's close to great restaurants, the beautiful churches, and wonderful squares and attractions. We will stay here again in the future.

This is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Quito. The history, art, antiques are beautiful. The rooms are clean and the food is delicious. But most importantly the entire staff was knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. Our guide, Giovanni, that the San Marcos helped arrange became like an old friend. He shared his knowledge of Quito while driving us to the various sites to see. We thank all who helped make our stay so enjoyable.

Lovely hotel, with extremely helpful staff. This is a strong value for the price. Glad I chose it. The rooms are filled with antiques and feels very luxurious in the shared areas especially. We stayed in the attic room that felt a little awkward in its configuration - but also had cool aspects to it, such as a skylight. Very walk-able to the sites of the old town.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a historical building with so many delicate decoration. In the dinning area and some rooms, you can have a good view of the Panecillo.
