AC Hotel Cartagena

An ideal location for the very best of cartagena, with sea, bars restaurants very close by. We took the junior suite which had amazing views across the harbour with table and chairs and sunbeds on the balcony. Coffee facilities included, plus fridge. Really clean and tidy, lovely cotton sheets, choice of pillows. Adjustable aircon, plenty of light. Really helpful reception staff that go above and beyond, answering all my questions! Helpful advice on the town and parking facilities. Pleased that they accept small dogs too, for our next visit.

Hotel is in an excellent location, across from the bay, next tourist information and museum, and at the start of Calle Mayor. Helpful staff, good room, nice breakfast. We had lunch(menu del día) here before. Great food and service, and good price for the quality. But it was empty, the same this time. At the busiest day of the Roman festival, the restaurant was empty. I have no idea why. But if they could inject some life into it, it would be great. We will return, which says it all.
