Value for money it was great, plenty of places to walk to, the RSL put on a great meal. The bay of fires nice.

Our apartment had a great view of the waterfront but lacked a little privacy - a trade-off but well worth it.

It’s a shame we couldn’t pick up the apartment we were in and place it someplace else because it had a decent layout and lots of space. Although we didn’t end up using the kitchen, it did have everything we would have needed.

The exterior of this place felt like a motel, not an apartment - not at all what I was expecting from the information provided when I booked. I’ll start with the 2m floodlit sign that shone through our bedroom window (with blinds closed) all night - that wasn’t mentioned anywhere when I booked. The ‘sea view’ itself, was a tiny sliver and a main highway in full view of every car that drove by, so we kept it closed the entire time. We arrived to a domestic happening at the property next door, so immediately didn’t feel safe. We completely lost power the first night when all we had turned on was 1 light and the tv and was told it might be due to an overload, but it wasn’t followed up the next day, so we didn’t know if it would happen again (luckily it didn’t). The road noise was loud at night. Toiletries were tiny plastic single use and not nice smelling ones either. The floor creaked, and didn’t feel level. We could hear all the plumbing and noise from the unit behind. Maybe the other units towards the back would have been better, I can only comment that I regret booking this 3 night stay.

A nice clean room with microwave, fridge and comfortable bed. Staff were quick to bring more laundry powder so we could use washing machine. A relatively short walk into town.

Room was too small for more than one or two nights. Easy to miss the signage when approaching St Helens. We passed it without seeing sign as a bit set back from road. Busy road which needs a proper pedestrian crossing and slower traffic for easy crossing. Expensive for staying.

It was really conveniently located and had everything we needed. Staff were lovely and friendly and helpful
