Very close to Carcossonne but importantly for us had secure parking as well as the hotel itself having lots of charm and character and friendly owners

The main selling point is the location, fairly close to main gate leading into old city of Carcassonne

Building is old, so no lift and stairs a bit hazardous

Everything was perfect! I was very well received. The garden for breakfast, which by the way is wonderful, is welcoming. It's also worth buying a bottle of wine, some cheeses and pâtés, bread, everything in the hotel shop, to enjoy the view of the castle from the hotel balcony. I was very lucky, it was a full moon!
