Real African feel. Restaurant was exceptional

The food was excellent and it was a bonus to have the students of the cooking school training there. The room was comfortable and clean, but quite dark.

Het terrein is ruim opgezet en perfect onderhouden en aangekleed. Aangezien er maar een beperkt aantal kamers zijn, kan je heerlijk bijkomen in een rustige omgeving. Mooi om te zien dat studenten/stagiaires hier de kans krijgen om te leren hoe ze horen te bedienen. Dit doen ze allemaal super goed! Toen we uitcheckte bleek de band van de auto lek. De manager regelde direct eigen personeel om onze band te vervangen. Vervolgens heeft hij de verhuurmaatschappij gebeld, zodat ze de band op ons volgende verblijf kunnen omwisselen. Super klacht gericht!

Geen wifi in de kamer. In het restaurant is er wel kans op wifi, maar valt gereld weg. Dit schijnt ook door het weer te kunnen komen. Wellicht een toevalsbevinding.

Eine außergewöhnlich schöne Anlage. Die kleinen Hütten sind sehr gemütlich. Ein schöner Naturpool bietet Erfrischung nach einem heißen Tag. In der Anlage werden Jugendliche zur Hotelfachkraft ausgebildet. Ein Projekt,das man gerne unterstützt.

From the moment we arrived, we were instantly transported to vacation mode. I will never forget my stay here. We were greeted by the loveliest staff and 2 donkeys and a cat. The food was unreal, the property was gorgeous, the staff were incredible and a special shout out to the restaurant staff and Emilia who made my birthday absolutely unforgettable. We did a day safari as well and everything was so well organized and executed from start to finish. I love this place so much, I don't even have enough words of praise!

That I cant live here and had to go home. I hope to come back one day. In the meantime I will tell all who will listen to come visit!

Super vriendelijk personeel & geweldig restaurant.

Mixed experience—unfortunately, the negative aspects outweighed the positive ones. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the manager and given a friendly introduction by the welcoming trainee staff. The young men and women truly deserve special praise for their dedication.

Shortly afterward, we were shown to our rondavel. As soon as we entered, we were met with a strong, sweet, and unpleasant odor. Even with constant ventilation, the smell could not be eliminated. It was so bad that we almost left immediately; however, since we had already booked a game drive, we decided to stay. We reported the issue at reception, but unfortunately, nothing was done. Breakfast was good. However, no specialty coffees were included—why not? At the price level of Addo African Home, this is something one would reasonably expect. Overall, that was also our general impression: somewhat overpriced for what was offered. It doesn’t align with the usual pricing standards in South Africa. Dinner was okay, but again, more expensive than what we experienced elsewhere in the country. All in all We hoped, That the Time at Addo would be the Highlight of the Trip. We were disappointed.
