Romantica Hotel Apartments

Proche de la mer néanmoins 15 minutes de marche à pied, beaucoup de boutiques à proximité et restaurants . Pas de volets donc jour assez tôt le matin .

We were hoping for a quiet, peaceful holiday (without the children!). The apartments whilst basic have everything you need . If you have a late flight, are permitted to leave your bags and use the communal shower and toilets. We were allowed to keep the room with it being out of season which was a lovely touch.

Overall a nice hotel. We were staying in room 24. There was a sufficient amount of cuttelery, glasses etc. for 2 persons. The mattresses were quiet old and you could feel the springs. The room itself was Nice. The view from the balcony is also very nice. Cleaning could be better but sufficient.

The hotel is on a hillside about 20mins from the beach. It is an okay place for the price nothing really special. The swimming pool is very small so i never swam in it but they do have ping pong table which sort of made up for when I did not want to go to the beach side.

The apartment was ideally situated for the Koutouloufari village, and two others, which are just up the hill. The 3 villages are perfect for evening meals of a more authentic Cretan feel, with just a splattering of bars around. Mali is a cab ride away, thankfully. We found the villages more than enough to keep us entertained, and made the mistake of venturing into Mali for a livelier evening. It is exactly as you would expect. The apartment complex is small, and can be noisy as groups of younger guests come and go, but not too disturbing. The pool is lovely and private, but seriously needs to be cleaned daily. Cigarette butts and empty drink cans and bottles littered the area for the duration of our stay. The room was as expected. The only aircon area was the room with 2 beds, (extra fee for aircon) leaving the remaining 2 beds in main apartment area without. The lady in reception was lovely and very helpful, as we had to ask her for various things throughout the week, including bath towels as the cleaner left only hand towels for us. The biggest complaint would be the leak in the very small bathroom around the toilet. It was reported, but never resolved, leaving the bathroom constantly wet and the feeling of being dirty!

I hadon't a great time at romantica. Great people management the hotel. Very friendly and nice. Lots of good memories.

Overall a pleasant experience. Staff is really helpful, room clean and value for price.

Nice accommodation with friendly staff. Elevated location and a bit of a trek into Hersonisos. Narrow beech and crowded.

I Booked based on the customer reviews and was not disappointed. Though a 15 minute walk from the main strip of Hersonissos the apartments are only a few minutes walk from lots of great tavernas, bars and supermarkets. The room was very clean and comfortable, and while the kitchen facilities are limited they were enough for occasional light meals. Don't expect to be able to cook a full meal but with so many great, affordable restaurants within walking distance you don't need to. Katerina and Manolis were very friendly and helpful, providing lots of information about how to make the most of my trip. Katerina was also thoughtful enough to drop off a mosquito repellent plug after I realized I'd forgotten to pack one. The WiFi was reliable and fast throughout the hotel. Hersonissos itself was too touristy for me, and while there were plenty of places to eat 'authenticity' isn't the word you'd use to describe any of them. However Koutouloufari more than made up for that. A visit to The Alchemist restaurant is essential (as is a reservation!), and I'd highly recommend Pithari Restaurant also, both less than five minutes away. Though the apartments are no more than 15 minutes walk away from Hersonissos be aware the hill is quite steep, and could be difficult in the summer heat. Overall I would highly recommend the Romantica Apartments, and Koutouloufari and would be very happy to book again
