Best Western Plus Austin Airport Inn & Suites

The room was nice and clean but the wifi was a little slow, had trouble streaming. Otherwise everything else was good and the staff was friendly when we checked in.

Stayed here in mid March and it was great. The weather was beautiful so we spent one afternoon by the pool before heading to a show on Rainey Street. Hotel made everything convenient and stress free

I have stayed at this hotel often, whenever I have to go to Austin. Last fall when I visited, renovations were underway, and the results are nice. However, the visit was dismal. Persons at the front desk were generally uncaring and dismissive of concerns. On my first night--after a nearly 20-hour day and 1400-mile journey--the internet and TV were not working. I tried to get assistance but no one bothered to come to the room--though I was told someone would. Throughout my stay, getting online was a royal pain; I kept getting directed to 'DANGER' pages that warned me to go back. The TV was also erratic at times. Small things tell me a lot about attention being paid; in my case, upon arrival, the alarm clock was blaring (had anybody cleaned the room?). The mini-fridge rocked back and forth. There are no coffee makers in the room, despite what is touted on the website. And there sure were no "big Texas welcome smiles." Quite the opposite. There is now a 24-hour coffee machine in the lobby, which has a dozen different offerings--but no decaf. Only during breakfast hours are both regular and decaf offered. I'll be looking for other hotels, despite having stayed here often. (And I expect that a formulaic, impersonal 'hotel' reply will respond to this, so I suggest ignoring it.)
