Un pochino freddo d'inverno

The location of this place was great to explore Sucre's downtown. The room was very clean and even had a heater for the cold nights. Breakfast was very good too.

My room was small and had a low ceiling. The bed was not long enough for a tall person and the shower was really tight and awkward.

Casa Verde staff are fantastic! The patio is a delight, and the rooms very tasteful. The breakfast is tops, and in the evening you can taste local wines or singani (brandy) drinks. One of the best spots in Sucre. Easy hike up to the overlook.

Location

The location of Casa Verde B&B is great and at first glance, the accommodation seems fine. However, the price-quality ratio is off. In other parts of Bolivia, you can get a better quality room for almost half the price. Unfortunately, we also had a very unpleasant experience during our stay. Money went missing from a bag that was inside our locked room. The bag never left the room during our stay, so the only possibility is that someone from the staff accessed it. We can't say with certainty what exactly happened, but the fact remains: money was missing — and that left us feeling unsafe. To make things worse, the property only has one security camera, which adds to our discomfort. We reported the incident to the accommodation. The manager told us they spoke to the staff, but nothing came of it after that. Especially for a place with generally good reviews, we expected more in terms of trust and quality. It’s a shame, as this experience really cast a shadow over our stay.

Everything was great - pretty much faultless

The host/owner, Johnathan, is lovely. He listed things I might want to see and helped me find an agency for a tour I wanted to do. The breakfast is great, with coffee/tea, fresh fruits, fresh juice, yogurt, cereal and eggs. The B&B is in the historic centre, close to everything, but still very quiet. There’s a very cute outdoor area and a pool. It’s also very clean, the bathroom has good pressure and hot water. And the bed was super comfy! I extended my stay because I liked it so much.
